The eletrolysis cell plant adopts high current density electrolysis technology. The electrolytic cell uses crude copper plates as anodes and pure copper starter sheets as cathodes, with an electrolyte of copper sulfate–sulfuric acid. Under direct current, oxidation occurs at the anode, dissolving copper and more active metals into the solution; simultaneously, copper ions are reduced and deposited on the cathode to produce high-purity copper. Noble metals (Au, Ag) and elements like Se and Te, which do not dissolve, settle as anode slime at the bottom for later recovery. ensuring the cathode copper purity reaches 99.99% and meeting national and international quality standards.
We offer whole plant design and machinery, equipped with intelligent control systems, it achieves stable electrolysis parameters, high current efficiency and low energy consumption in long-term operation.
Anode slime is treated by washing, pressing and other processes, realizing harmless disposal and effective recycling of valuable metals, such as selenium, tellurium, silver, and gold. This is key payback from the cathode production investment.
